AoC Conference Return

Our attendance at the recent AoC Annual Conference proved a resounding success, for the first time we had our own stand and we were extremely pleased with the responses and feedback we received.

Our ‘Top Gear' College Driver Challenge proved a popular and competitive attraction with the top three Colleges who recorded the fastest lap times being awarded prizes towards their Annual prize giving events.

The winner was Mandeep Gill, Vice Principal of the John Ruskin College with an excellent time of 1min 46.15secs, closely followed in second place by Jack Gelder (student) of Oxford & Cherwell College only 0.05 seconds behind, Graham Morley, Principal of the South Staffs College was third by just another 0.02seconds.

The fastest non-college entrant was Andrew Tollet of the NCFE with the weeks best time of 1.45.88 (sorry Andrew no prize for you!).

We also took the opportunity to launch our new QLA consultancy service which was very well received.

Smooth Office Move

Our continued success since our formation in 2009 has resulted in us already outgrowing our offices in the centre of Selby.

Consequently we had to source new offices and subsequently during 2011 completed a move to a prestigious new office development on the towns outskirts at Abbey Court, Benedict Drive.

Director Eliot Grant commented 'the new offices have given us the space for further planned expansion, although stressful at times the transition was completed smoothly and efficiently thanks to the diligence and commitment of staff and the many suppliers involved'.

Stamford Office Now Open

Our new regional office in the rural village of Tinwell near Stamford is now fully operational and will allow us to further develop and create business opportunities for our partners in the Eastern and East Midland regions and the Home counties.

New NCFE Recognised Resources

The continuous development of our resources has seen us recently add the following NCFE recognised qualifications to our portfolio; Full Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity, Level 1 Award and Certificate in Personal and Social Development, Level 1 Award in Exercise Studies and a Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health.
